How it works
With the OnStar Guardian app, a Member can get assistance with medical emergencies or personal safety situations in or out of any vehicle. An OnStar Emergency-Certified Advisor is ready to help 24/7. They can assist Members with situations such as panic attacks, allergic reactions, chest pains and more — even situations where they feel unsafe.
Pushing the red Emergency button in the OnStar Guardian app gives Members priority access to an Emergency-Certified Advisor. These Advisors are specially trained to assist during a medical emergency. They can also contact First Responders, providing them with your precise location
OnStar Guardian can also be used when a Member feels they are in personal danger or an unsafe situation.
The Emergency button in OnStar Guardian can also be used to help others in need. If a Member witnesses an event such as a vehicle crash, they can act as a Good Samaritan and request help on another person’s behalf.
If you are in immediate danger, you should always call 911.
